The SC Foods’ Procurement Group No. 2 and Merchandising Group, which primarily deals with beef, pork, and chicken, set product standards based on our clients’ requirements. We process meat according to the business, store facility, and menu using overseas factories as well as SC Foods and partner factories throughout Japan to give added value.
SC Foods is able to offer the exact product clients are seeking, taking into consideration various factors such as where the meat is from and which portion is to be used. At the same time, we are committed to pursuing higher levels of product quality and safety that clients can trust. We set standards for every process from procuring and processing to delivering, handling each step with great care into details.

South Africa’s Bounty

South Africa enjoys sunny, warm weather throughout the year. The bounty of its diverse geography and climate allows the country to produce high-quality fruits which cannot be obtained elsewhere. For this reason, SC Foods has been importing fruit products from this country since our early days. In light of traceability, we select processors whose sources can be fully identified. Although we have focused on lemon, orange, and grapefruit segment/pulp products, we have, in recent years, developed frozen peach and pear products for the Japanese market together with our suppliers.
SC Foods will continue bringing premium-quality fruit products from South Africa.

Alcohol Meterial

Alcohol Ingredients Hop, the soul of beer（US）

Generally, a trader known as the “hop broker” procures hops in large bulks from several dozen contract farms, selling them to beer companies around the world. However, SC Foods has exclusive distribution rights from one of the largest hop producers in the US and is able to purchase directly from them without a broker. Their hopfield has a dedicated section for Japanese exports in order to comply with the country’s maximum residue limits. Based on strict quality control, including the use of agrochemicals, the safety of our products is guaranteed to our clients.

Coffee

Specialty coffee discovered in one of the world’s remotest places（Guatemala）

It is customary for trading companies to approach coffee bean exporters and select beans from their inventory. However, SC Foods has sought for genuinely good-tasting coffee using our connection with coffee bean farmers through our Guatemala office. By visiting farms and communicating with their managers, we have discovered premium-quality beans mixed in with standard coffee beans. We now process these specialty coffee beans separately and sell them at an affordable price. SC Foods has also been collaborating with agricultural cooperatives and farmers, who all have their unique coffee processing methods, in various coffee producing regions.
