Carefully-chosen, safe, and high-quality raw materials are processed before reaching our clients. SC Foods pays particular attention to the facilities the food is processed in, as well.

We visit and supervise overseas factories on a daily basis to ensure standards are met for the quality of raw materials, manufacturing process, and finished products.

SC Foods’ Kawasaki Shiohama Processing Center in Kanagawa, Japan started its operation in December 2018. Despite chronic workforce shortages, the domestic market for semi-processed meat is expected to expand. Our processing center has a state-of-the-art meat seasoning and packing line, which operates at high speed while reinforcing safety control. We strive to respond to the fluctuating demands(timely processing of refrigerated/frozen meat)from mass retailers, restaurants, and take-out or delivery services within the Tokyo metropolitan area throughout the year.

Responding to client needs with precise processing and packing

At the SC Foods Kawasaki Shiohama Processing Center, we produce slice and portion meat products for the restaurant and ready-made food industries. We also manufacture case-ready meat for mass-market retailers. Since its opening in December 2018, the processing center built in Kanagawa, Japan, has delivered products customized to our clients’ specifications, including individually packaged meat as small as 40g. We provide solutions to minimize the use of storage space in stores, simplify restaurant operations, and reduce waste.
With SC Foods’ broad network of partnering processing plants, we are able to effectively outsource orders to the best-equipped facility when necessary, delivering products according to our clients’ design and vision.

Delivering safe and high-quality vegetable products

In addition to procuring superior raw materials, conducting rigorous quality control at production sites is imperative for us to deliver safe and high-standard products. In the handling of vegetables, SC Foods has mainly focused on processed tomato products and carrot juice concentrates. During the harvest seasons, we visit and monitor the processing sites located throughout the world.
As for the processing of tomatoes, our Japanese employees and overseas staff are stationed in the processing plants throughout the summer season, examining raw materials and supervising the production line every day.
To provide safe and high-quality products to our clients, SC Foods will continue to conduct on-site quality control across borders.

Discovering new values within our broad lineup

SC Foods carries a wide variety of premium oils from soybean and canola to olive, sesame, flaxseed, perilla oil, etc. The origin of oils are procured from across Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, Australia, and Africa.
With Sumitomo Corporation’s global network, we always collect the local situation and do the regular visit where these crops are produced in order to provide a stable supply of premium, good quality oils to our clients.
